On our second day in DC, we went to the Capitol.
We had a wonderful guided tour. Ella, Liliana, Jack and I marveled at the old Supreme Court Room after we rode the Capitol Train and climbed the old spiral stair cases.
The dome was enchanting.

After the Capitol tour we headed toward the National Mall in hopes of more Smithsonian adventures.
We accidentally came across the Botanical Gardens - it was lovely!
The holiday display included little houses and trains running through the gardens.
After the gardens we found the American Indian Museum. We learned all about the tribes of America.
Ella and Jack made an igloo.

After a full day we celebrated the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary at The Cathedral of Saint Matthew the Apostle.
